Prof. Jurij Bajec, Ph.D. is a special advisor at the Economics Institute and professor of Economics, University of Belgrade. He has been teaching Contemporary economic systems, Public Sector Economics, Competitiveness Policies and Economic Development. He also lectured at the Faculty of Economics in Banja Luka, Faculty of Economics and Law in Novi Sad and Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia. He was on vocational training in England (in 1977 and in the period 1979-1980) at the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex as a research fellow. In 1984. he was on a three months visit in the main US University centers for comparative economic systems. Prof. Bajec is the author of six books and author of numerous articles and other texts of which some are published in English. He was a project leader and a member of experts teams for preparation of strategic development documents, economic reforms and restructuring programs in Serbia, inter alia, of “Serbian Post-Crisis Economic Growth and Development Model 2011-2020”. He served as economic advisor to the Prime minister of Serbia in the period 2008-2012. Jurij Bajec is a member of Presidency of the Serbian Association of Economists, a member of the Academy of Economic Sciences and member of the Council of International Economic Association.
