Minister of Youth and Sports, Government of the Republic of Serbia
Vanja Udovicic was born in 1982 in Belgrade. He graduated from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, with a professional title of the Engineer of Organizational Sciences.
He was the captain of the Serbian national water polo team from 2009 to September 2013 when he was appointed as Minister of Youth and Sports in the Government of the Republic of Serbia. He has been elected many times for one of the best water polo players in the world, and for the national team he played 284 games and scored 330 goals.
With the national team he won two gold medals (2005 and 2009), one silver (2011) and one bronze medal (2003) at the World Championships; three gold medals (2003, 2006 and 2012), one silver (2008) and one bronze medal (2010) at the European Championships; one gold (2010) and one bronze medal (2002) in the World Cup; seven gold medals (2005, 2006, 2007 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2013), one silver (2004) and one bronze medal (2009) in the World League; one gold medal (2009) at the Mediterranean Games. He won one silver (2004) and two bronze medals (2008 and 2012) at the Olympic Games.
During his professional sport career he played for the following clubs: Partizan, Jadran, Posillipo, Pro Recco, Mladost, Radnicki. He speaks English and Italian.
Since September 2013 he has been Minister of Youth and Sports in the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
