ĐORĐEVIĆ Dragana
Full Research Professor, Institute of Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade
Education:
- 1990, University of Belgrade, Faculties of natural sciences and mathematic, Faculty of physical chemistry: Bachelor in field of spectral-chemistry and physical chemistry of plasma
- 1996 University of Belgrade, Faculty of physical chemistry, Magisterium in the field of environmental science
- 2004 University of Belgrade, Faculty of chemistry, PhD in the field of environmental chemistry
She is employed in Scientific Institution - Institute of Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy, Institute of national importance, University of Belgrade as a head of Centre of excellence in environmental chemistry and engineering accredited of National science council.
Her research area is in environmental chemistry (pollutants interaction among water, sediment, soil, air and biota), chemistry of atmospheric aerosols, emission sources estimations, environmental risks assessment of anthropogenic activities etc.… She has experience in communication with relevant actors (decision makers on national and local level and relevant stakeholder).
In her work experience, though science, national and international scientific projects she gains knowledge in applied environmental science.
She has an experience in risk assessment of pollution from many industrial sources like Coal Fired Power Plants, Oil Refinery, Petrochemical Plant, Pharmaceutical plant, solvents in packaging industry etc. and she know profiles of their emission sources.
In her working career she did studies that changed political decisions at the national and local levels to protect targeted region, for example air pollution with benzene from industrial city Pančevo (2004). In the recent years she research environmental pollution of mining activities.
She was participated and coordinated in many national and international scientific projects (INTERREG, IPA, FP6, Erasmus+, COST etc.) and has an experience in leadership in projects regarding environmental science.
In 2016th she established Centre for environmental chemistry and engineering and accredited it in Centre of excellence in 2017th within Scientific Institution Institute of Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy, Institute of national importance, University of Belgrade.
She is guest editor in international scientific journals: Frontiers in Earth Science and in Sensors.
She was supervisor or member of commission in 18 PhD theses, of which in 7 she was mentor.
The whole scientific research is published in over 100 articles in international journals – mainly in top scientific journals, 10 contributions to books and over 100 published contributions in academic conferences. She is reviewer in many of top scientific international journals and she was evaluator of many national and international scientific projects.
