DANGUBIĆ Danilo
Chief Architect, EXPO 2027 Belgrade
Danilo Dangubić is a Serbian architect who received his education in the United States and the United Kingdom. He completed his undergraduate studies in architecture at Drury University in America and graduated in 1999 from the prestigious Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. After completing his studies, he continued to teach at the Architectural Association.
Danilo has lectured at numerous universities and presented at the Baumer Symposium for Emerging Voices in Architecture at The Ohio State University’s Knowlton School of Architecture. He has also served as a member of the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) evaluation panel, which granted RIBA accreditation to the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Belgrade.
In 2015, Danilo founded the architectural practice Danilo Dangubic Architects in Belgrade. The studio, which now comprises over 20 young and talented architects, has quickly established itself as a dynamic firm offering services in design, planning, production, and project realisation across various scales and complexities. The practice is dedicated to exploring and building within the realm of contemporary architecture. In 2024, Architizer recognised Danilo Dangubic Architects as one of the 220 most progressive studios in the world.
Danilo is the author of numerous cultural, commercial, and residential projects. He exhibited his work at the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism in 2021 and the Piran Days of Architecture in Piran, Slovenia. In 2022, he received the prestigious “Aleksej Brkić” award for the best realised architectural project for the mix-used building Central. His project Skew House was the winner of the A+ Award in 2024 in the residential category.
Danilo is the lead architect for Expo 2027 Belgrade and the author of the Expo 2027 master plan.
