Vukašin Grozdić, born in Belgrade, began his professional career in the public sector in 2016 in the Cabinet of the Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government, where he worked on the implementation of numerous projects important for the reform of public administration with the aim of transforming the state administration into a service for citizens. From 2017 to 2022, he worked as an advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, where he excelled in managing complex projects, especially in the areas of digitalization, education, science and training programs for the labor market needs. He made a special contribution during the coronavirus pandemic, working in the team on crisis response tasks. Since 2022, he has been appointed State Secretary at the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, during which period he has actively worked on improving the education programs for doctoral students, digitizing scientific and research results and administrative procedures, as well as reforming the salary system for scientists and researchers that has contributed to a better socio-economic status of the scientific community.

In his position as State Secretary, Grozdić is committed to improving scientific achievements and their application. With his experience, he contributes to strengthening cooperation between the academic community, the private and public sector, as well as promoting technological progress and innovation in the Republic of Serbia. His work is focused on the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, which support digital transformation, scientific excellence and the development of young scientists in the country.

He attended the Ninth Gymnasium “Mihailo Petrović Alas” in Belgrade, and continued his academic education at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He is currently researching the topic of adult digital literacy in his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. During his studies, he was a holder of the scholarships of the Ministry of Education and the Fund for Young Talents “Dositeja”.

Wanting to contribute to the readiness of the State of Serbia to various security challenges, in 2015 he attended the training program for reserve officers of the Serbian Armed Forces at the Military Academy for the infantry branch. Upon completion of the program, he earned the rank of reserve second lieutenant as the first in his class.
