Mihajlo Džaril is the founder and CEO of Fortuna Esports, a leading regional organizer and producer of gaming content, as well as a pivotal figure in Serbia’s gaming industry through his work with the Serbian Games Association (SGA). A distinguished alumnus of the Faculty of Law in Belgrade, Mihajlo began his career in law before transitioning into a consultancy role in the Advisory department at EY, where he focused on EU-funded projects in the Government and Public Sector.

In 2016, Mihajlo founded Fortuna Esports, transforming it from a startup into a trusted name in the esports industry. His partnership with United Media led to a groundbreaking achievement: bringing local and global esports tournaments to traditional television through Sport Klub, a first in the region. Today, Fortuna produces over 200 live broadcasts annually, delivering more than 1,000 hours of engaging content.

Beyond his work at Fortuna, Mihajlo is a driving force behind the Serbian Games Association (SGA), which he co-founded in 2018 and now serves as its Director. SGA has become a cornerstone of the Serbian gaming ecosystem, uniting both established companies and independent studios to tackle shared challenges, advocate for the industry, and amplify its presence on both domestic and international stages. Under Mihajlo’s leadership, SGA has positioned itself as a critical player in fostering collaboration and growth within the sector.

As a non-profit, non-governmental organization, SGA has garnered widespread recognition and support from key stakeholders, including embassies, the USAID program in Serbia, the British Council, Institut Français, Goethe-Institut in Serbia, the French-German Cultural Fund, and the European Game Developers Federation. These partnerships have reinforced SGA’s mission to advance the Serbian gaming industry while promoting it as a competitive and innovative hub on the global stage.
