KNEŽEVIĆ Dinko
Professor, Faculty of Mining and Geology, University of Belgrade
Dr Dinko Knežević (Oton, Knin, 1955), retired university professor at Belgrade University, Faculty of Mining and Geology. He began his career at the Mining Institute - Belgrade and came to the Faculty with 17 years of practical experience. He lectured on several subjects related to mineral processing.

His specialization is disposal and slurry transportation of waste row materials. Almost 45 years experiences in:  waste investigations, site selection, design and construction, consulting, rehabilitation and reclamation for waste slurry transportation and disposal, including flotation tailing (Bor, Majdanpek, Šuplja stijena, Lece), tailing from gravity and magnetic separation`s plants (Prijedor), ash from coal thermal plants (TENT-A and B, Kosovo- B, Kostolac A and B, Gacko, Prunežov, Počerady), FGD gypsum (Kolubara) and phosphogypsum (Prahovo). He was engaged as a consultant by international companies from Denmark (Cowi), Germany (Wattenfall, Mibrag), China (CMEC), Hungary (Weir) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (Energoinvest). Prof. Knežević has vast experience in planning, co-ordination, interface management of maintenance and rehabilitation measures of waste handling systems. He was managing dozens of multi-disciplinary studies and projects for process technology (including project controlling, co-ordination of contractors' QA). 

He is the Licensed designer in mineral processing, from 1983. and Environmental experts in Technical Commission, from 2008.

He is the author/coauthor of more than 300 technical projects, studies, expertise, elaborates and reviewer more than 70 studies and projects. The author of 11 books and student`s textbooks (Mineral processing, Industrial waste disposal, Environmental monitoring, Waste characterization, Slurry transportation, Coal homogenization etc.). The author (co-author) of more than 200 papers published in international and domestic journals and in proceedings books. He was the editor of Mining section of the Tehnika magazine.
