She joined Mastercard six years ago as part of the innovation management team. Before joining Mastercard, Maja held several innovation roles at Citi Ventures, where she built an Emerging Technology practice to deepen the understanding of emerging technologies and their implications for Citi’s businesses and clients. She co-founded and led the D10x Global Incubator program, overseeing the definition, design, and development of new products and services. Additionally, she was responsible for startup sourcing, investment, and commercialization, focusing on Commerce Payments, Fintech, and Market Technology domains. Prior to her time at Citi, Maja held various leadership roles in startups, including the mobile payments startup InternetQ and her own country branding practice, SML Strategic Media.
