Besnik Leskaj is an active chairman and investor, who develops venture projects in the energy, infrastructure, ICT, finance and tourism sectors.  

In 2006, Besnik co-founded Abkons, one of the most successful multi-disciplinary consultancies in Western Balkans with headquarters in Albania. As Chief Executive Officer, he oversaw strategic planning, public finance management, project management, and capacity building work. As the Abkons Project Director for the Trans Adriatic Pipeline contracts, he created a framework for the first-ever Land Compensation Study in a large infrastructure project in Albania and the region.

Besnik has founded other successful companies in Albania and internationally. Prominent in his portfolio is IKONS, a boutique IT consultancy that works in Albania, Italy, Malta, Kosovo, Serbia and the United Kingdom. He also established the Albanian Financial Institution (AFI), which is an Albanian market leader in financial, leasing and factoring services.

Besnik offers his regional and sector expertise to various public and private entities. He serves as an advisor for national and international business and sustainable development initiatives and speaks frequently at regional conferences.

Besnik holds a Magisterial Doctorate degree in Enterprise Economy, and a Diploma in International Economy and Trade from the University of Calabria, Arcavacata di Rende in Italy and B.A in International Trade from Université Blaise Pascal Clermont Ferrand II, Auvergne, in France.
