  the Republic of Mozambique, accredited also to the Kingdom of Swaziland

- Previously he served as Minister-Counsellor at the Italian Embassy in Belgrade   
  from January 2005 to April 2008

- Promoted First Counsellor July 2005

- From 2001 to 2004, he served as Deputy Head of NATO Department at the
  Directorate General for Political Multilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign
  Affairs

- From 1998 to 2001, he was posted as Deputy Head of Mission to the Italian
  Embassy in Sarajevo. In 2000, he was promoted Counsellor

- In 1994, he was assigned to the Embassy of Italy in Bonn as First Secretary,  
  Economic Department

- Carlo Lo Cascio joined the diplomatic service in 1990 and began his career by
  serving in the Directorate General for Cooperation to Development

Born in Palermo, on September 3, 1963, Carlo Lo Cascio graduated in Law at the State University of Palermo. Married, two children.
