LONČAR Dragan
Member of the Presidency, Serbian Association of Economists
Dragan Loncar was born in Belgrade in 1978. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in 2001, completed Master course in Management Studies at the University of Cambridge (Judge Business School) in 2003, and acquired PhD title at the Faculty of Economics in 2007. He was awarded Fulbright scholarship (academic year 2008/2009) for postdoctoral research in financial management. The research was completed during 2009 at the University of Chicago (Booth Business School). He is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder since 2013.
He is a Full Professor and Associate Dean at the Faculty of Economics University in Belgrade. Dragan is the founding partner of business consulting firm Peterhof Consulting.
Dragan has a rich consulting experience. He has had various consulting assignments with leading Serbian and foreign companies in the fields of strategy, organization, corporate finance, antitrust compliance, health economics, PPPs, and different types of economic studies. Also, he has experience of participation in World Bank, USAID, GIZ, UNDP, and EU funded projects in Serbia and the region, concerning industrial strategy, sustainable investing, regional development, renewable energy sources, refugee solutions, and corporate governance.
His main areas of expertise are strategic planning, corporate finance, competition policy, risk management and organizational restructuring. Dragan is the co-author of the reference books for Strategic Management and Project Management and the author of numerous research studies and papers in academic journals.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of Banca Intesa Belgrade, a member of Supervisory Board of Metalac Gornji Milanovac, and the president of the Audit Committee of Wiener Stadtische Serbia.
