LOPANDIĆ Duško
Former Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union
Dusko Lopandic. Professor of International Public Law and European Law. Researcher, lecturer, publicist and former diplomat. He received his master's degree in Paris and Brussels (VUB University) and his doctorate from the University of Paris I (Pantheon-Sorbonne) in the field of European law.
Former Head of Mission of Serbia to the European Union in Brussels (2013 – 2016). He was also the ambassador of Serbia in Portugal (2007-2011) and the Assistant Minister for EU affairs and Regional Cooperation in Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia (2011-2013). Among other, he was the national coordinator for the Stability Pact in South East Europe, Head of Negotiating Team for WTO Membership of Serbia, Chief Negotiator of Serbia for establishment of CEFTA organization and a member of the Governmental Council for EU integration etc.
He has collaborated with a number of universities, institutes and NGOs and published over 100 articles and 30 books on EU topics, regional cooperation and international relations, as well as essays and studies in the field of history of diplomacy and national history.
As a part of his activities within the civil society, he was the Deputy President of European Movement in Serbia (2016-2019). He is vice-president of Forum of international relations of European movement in Serbia (since 2021).
He received the "Contribution of the Year to Europe" award.
