Thomas E. Lubeck is the Regional Manager for Central and Southeastern Europe at IFC. In this capacity, he oversees IFC activity in 10 IFC member countries including strategy, business and partnership development. He has over two decades of successful investing in emerging markets in Emerging Europe and South Asia. He has led innovative projects in capital market development, renewable energy infrastructure, transport and anti-crisis investing in the financial sector. He has been a champion of private sector investment into infrastructure and works closely with IFC’s infrastructure transaction advisory group to provide Governments with private sector solutions to infrastructure needs. As an advocate of good governance, he has also promoted better investment and business climates through a number of World Bank Group advisory projects around the world, as well as served as a nominee to multiple advisory committees and boards of trustees for private companies and non-profit organizations.
