Dragan Marković was born in Pula. He graduated from the Faculty of Traffic in Belgrade. He received his master's degree and doctorate from the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Novi Sad.

He started his career at JP Posta Serbia where, among others, he held the position of deputy director of Novi Sad business unit.
He has held various positions in the insurance industry since 2004, among others, the pisition of regional director in DDOR Novi Sad.
Since 2012, he has been the president of the Executive Board of the insurance company "Triglav osiguranje a.d.o. Beograd".
He has published seven authored and co-authored works on the topic of the impact of climate change and catastrophic damage on the insurance market.

In addition to his business engagements, he actively participates in the work of the governing bodies of Basketball Federation of Serbia and Red star Judo Club.
