NEDIĆ Danijela
Acting Assistant to Commissioner for Refugees and Migration of Republic of Serbia
Born in 1979 in Vranje. She graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Belgrade, majoring in International Relations, where she earned the professional title of Graduate Political Scientist.
She has spent most of her professional career at the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration, where she worked as an advisor for cooperation with international governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as an independent advisor for monitoring and implementing international regulations in the process of return and integration. She also served as Head of the Department for Financial and Material Affairs.
In February 2022, the Government of the Republic of Serbia appointed her as Acting Assistant Commissioner for General, Legal, Human Resources, and Administrative Affairs. Since 2023, she has served as Head of the Department for the Implementation of Projects funded by the European Union and other donor-funded projects aimed at addressing housing needs.
She holds a Public Procurement Officer certificate and a Specialist Certificate in Collective Leadership.
She has completed a course for civilians in peacekeeping missions organized by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia.
Through years of direct work with refugees, internally displaced persons, and asylum seekers, she has gained extensive experience in identifying solutions to challenges and ensuring the rights of these vulnerable groups.
In January 2025, the Government of the Republic of Serbia appointed her as Acting Assistant Commissioner for Reception, Care, Readmission, Durable Solutions, and Asylum.
She speaks English and is a mother of two children.
