Dr. Oskar Marko is the co-founder of Cropt, a company specialising in agricultural production monitoring through satellite image processing and AI. Through the Space Garden platform, the company provides services such as yield prediction, crop identification, risk assessment, and damage detection. Clients can broadly be divided into two groups: agricultural companies, which use field data to optimise their operations, and financial institutions, which utilise this data to assess their clients. The company was founded on technology developed through research at the BioSense Institute, which was awarded at the prestigious Syngenta Crop Challenge and CGIAR Inspire Challenge. It has also been supported by the Innovation Fund, Reach Incubator, Climate KIC, and other renowned programmes and incubators.
