PEKOVIĆ Aleksandar
General Manager, Ilija Milosavljević Kolarac Endowment
Aleksandar Peković graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, in the Department of Film and TV Production. He is the manager of the Kolarac Endowment in Belgrade and the founder of the "Friends of Kolarac Club" foundation. He has been connected to this institution since childhood, and in 2022, at the invitation of the endowment's management board, he decided to invest his knowledge, skills, experience, love, and motivation in the renewal and development of the institution, which he perceives as his life project.
He was the co-founder and director of the Institute for Creative Industries of the Western Balkans, based in Ljubljana, and a member of the focus group for creative industries of the city of Ljubljana. He is the founder and director of the international agency for music and performing arts, "Coda Artists," which has organized concerts by Plácido Domingo, Martha Argerich, Elīna Garanča, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London, and other renowned artists, including the tour of the RTS Symphony Orchestra in China.
He has authored numerous projects in the field of culture and creative industries in Serbia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Italy, and Belgium. He served as the project director for the European Capitals of Culture "Belgrade 2020" and "Herceg Novi 2021." He led the process that resulted in the change of European Commission rules allowing the participation of five Southeast European countries, including Serbia, which are not EU members. He was the Deputy Secretary for Culture of the City of Belgrade; the president of the board of our most famous international exhibition "October Salon"; the director of RTS Music Production; a lecturer at the Faculty of Philology and Arts "Filum" in Kragujevac; producers on film productions and TV stations and the director and producer of the documentary travel series "With a Camera Through the World." He has received multiple national and international awards. He is a member of the "World.Minds" community and the committee for sports and ecology of the National Olympic Committee.
He engages in writing and cooking. In 2017, he ran and finished the original Athens marathon while writing a new story. He speaks English and Russian, and is learning French and German. He is in love with his wife, with whom he has a daughter and a son.
