Elena Peruničić is a psychology student at the Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy and a member of the UNICEF Youth Advisory Board in Serbia since 2021. Through her involvement in projects such as Youth4Air and ClimateHeroes she has become a dynamic speaker, encouraging young people to actively participate in solving problems on a local level. She is also part of Youth Leadership Network, a group of 100 young people leading change in their communities to help transform education and spark climate change action. 
 
As a student of psychology, she is advocating for better mental health support system for young people. Accordingly, she participated in the creation of the svejeokej.rs  platform and  in international conferences such as IAYMH 2022 in Copenhagen, discussing how youth participation can be improved in field of mental health. She volunteered in summer schools, supporting children of refugees and migrants through formal education and has been awarded as a Volunteer of The Year in 2023 by UNICEF Serbia.
