PETKOVIĆ Goran

Engaged on the faculty from1987, Goran Petković thought classes in all university degrees until his promotion to full time professor, in 2005. He is teaching marketing channels, trade management and marketing on bachelor, master and PhD level. He is Fulbright alumni from 2001.
As a member of Supervisory Board in Metalac A.D., Gornji Milanovac, he was re-engaged from 2013. In the period from 2007-2013 he was serving as the State secretary in Government of the Republic of Serbia, in charge for Tourism. He started this career as consultant to Serbian government in 2005 working on Strategy of Tourism Development that was later adopted and implemented. As state secretary from 2007 to 2013, he was leading Sector of tourism and Sector of tourism inspection. During that period, among others, Serbia became an active member in Executive Committee of UNWTO, shaped up mountain resorts, introduced wine and cultural routes and improved legislation framework.
After career in Serbian government, he continued to work on projects and developing strategies of trade and tourism. From 2013 he is member of scientific committee of Roman Emperors and Danube Wine Route, certified cultural route by the Council of Europe, with stakeholders from Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, BiH, Montenegro, Albania and N. Macedonia. In 2020 he led team researching the impact of the pandemic on the tourism sector of the Western Balkans for RCC with recommendations at the regional and national level.
Goran Petković is author of two books (Positioning of trade companies and Models for decision making in trade), co-author of sections in 6 relevant books and author of many chapters in other books and proceedings. Also, he is author or co-author of more than fifty articles in domestic and international scientific journals.
