General Manager, Novo Nordisk Serbia and Montenegro
Aleksandar Popovic is currently taking the role of Vice President & General Manager, Serbia and Montenegro at Novo Nordisk. Novo Nordisk is a global pharmaceutical company with innovative portfolio and leading position in diabetes, obesity, and other serious chronic diseases (such as rare blood and endocrine disorders). In Serbia, the company has been operating successfully for more than 30 years.
Since 2013, he has been working on several positions in different sectors of Novo Nordisk: Business Unit Manager Diabetes, Field Sales Manager, Clinical Research Manager and Clinical Research Associate. In 2012-2013 he worked with MSD at positions in Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Trials.
Aleksandar holds master’s degree in pharmacy from University of Belgrade - Faculty of Pharmacy. During university years, he was active student representative fighting for quality assurance during Bologna reform process. In 2008-2010 he was Student Vice-Dean of the Faculty. In 2010-2012 he was selected to take role in the National team of higher education reform experts formed by Ministry of Education and the TEMPUS office.
Aleksandar is married and father of three sons.
