Prof. Dr. Ing. Vladimir M. Popović is a full professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and in 2021 he was elected dean at the same faculty. He is corresponding member of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of Serbia. He was the State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia in period 2016-2020. Prof. Popović was President of Board of Directors at the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences in period 2014-2016, President of the Board of Science of the Republic of Serbia Commission for cooperation with UNESCO, and President of the Council for cooperation between Science and Commerce (Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Serbia).
He is the General Manager of the CIAH Laboratory, accredited laboratory at the University of Belgrade for vehicle testing. He was the Head of the Department of Motor Vehicles. He has authored/co-authored 162 papers (25 out of which are from SCI list), 45 papers in international and domestic journals, 50 papers at international congresses and conferences (among others, four times World Automotive Congress - FISITA). In 2022, he received the city of Užice Charter, awarded to the most prominent representatives. He is full member of the Matica srpska Society.
