Anna Solecki is Serbia Country Manager of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg. She joined EIB in 2007 and before joining the Western Balkans in December 2016, she was working for the Polish Division financing Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) and public sector investments in the numerous regions and municipalities in Poland. She also worked for the Joint European Support for Sustainable Investment in City Areas (JESSICA) – an initiative offering financial instruments, as a new way of use of EU Structural Funds.

From 1999 to 2003 Anna was working for the Société Générale bank in Warsaw as Head of Credit Analysis Department being responsible for credit risk assessment of counterparts from the energy, utilities, telecommunication, construction and retail sectors. In 2003, she pursued her career at the Société Générale Head Office in Paris in the Credit Analysis Department for Utilities and then Commodities dealing with energy companies in Western Europe, South Africa and the United States and metals/minerals/oil producers from Russia, Ukraine and Central Asia and trading companies from Switzerland.

Between 1995 and 1999, Anna was working for Deloitte & Touche Financial Advisory Services. She was responsible for risk evaluation of projects and companies for international funds and financial institutions investment purposes as well as preparing business plans and projects valuations for companies in various sectors.

From 1993 to 1995 Anna was an employee of the Financial Services (joint venture of the Pioneer Trust Fund and the Bank Pekao SA) Consulting Department. She was working on projects related to the “Mass Privatization Program” in Poland as well as various reports on the Polish capital markets (financed by USAID).

Anna holds a master degree from the Warsaw School of Economics, MBA, and a postgraduate diploma in International Finance from the Higher School of Commerce and International Finance in Warsaw in consortium with University of Durham, Erasmus University Rotterdam and University of Chicago. She also obtained a Diploma in Management Accounting and Finance from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Diploma in International Business from the Midwest Universities Consortium for International Activities (MUCIA Global Education Group Inc.).

Anna speaks English, French, Russian and Polish. She is married with one child.
