Mirko Španović was born 1960 in Belgrade. He graduated at the Faculty of Economics,  University of Belgrade, Finance and Banking Programme. Additional banking education he gained at the Austrian Central Bank. He started his banking carrier in 1984 in PKB Bank being at the position of the Director of Retail sector. In 2004 he was engaged in the National Bank of Serbia as the Advisor to the Governor, while in July 2005 he joined Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank a.d. Beograd at the position of the Director of Transaction Banking Sector. In September 2007 he becomes member of the Executive Board, and in April 2015 Deputy Chairman of the Bank. In July 2016 the bank was privatised and changed its name to  Addiko Bank a.d. Beograd. In October 2017, he has been appointed Chairman of Addiko Bank a.d. Beograd responsible for Corporate and Retail Management Division, Treasury, Product Management and Marketing, Operations Division, ORGA/IT Division, Real Estate Management, Security Function as well as Legal and HR.
In addition to his extensive experience in banking business, Mirko Španović has long year experience in managing international trade business. He fluently speeks English and Russian. He lives in Belgrade, is married and a father of two.
