Jelena Sretenović is the Country Manager for Montenegro, Serbia & Bosnia and Herzegovina at Mastercard. For 15 years already, she has been dedicated to creating new partnerships and business development opportunities in these markets through a well-defined & clear strategy.

She is leading a multi-functional team into achieving long-term financial, operational and goals focused on leveraging company’s data & services & cyber security capabilities, while establishing partnerships with traditional and non-traditional customers, governments and other stakeholders.

Jelena is seen as a Thought Leader and Industry Expert in the region due to her innovative business perspective and achieved results. Jelena's initiatives have helped establish Mastercard as a key enabler of financial inclusion, positively impacting sectors ranging from local entrepreneurs to government institutions.

Since joining Mastercard in 2009, Jelena has brought extensive expertise from her background in the economy, finance, sales and banking sectors. Her broad experience spans over a decade, contributing significantly to her ability to lead Mastercard’s initiatives in these three markets.

She is a Board member of the eCommerce Association of Serbia, as well as the Vice President of the Fair Competition Alliance at NALED since 2019, focused on combating shadow economy through promotion of digital payments.

Jelena holds a bachelor’s degree in banking, financing and insurance from the Faculty of Economy, University of Belgrade.
