Zoran Stanojević began his journalism career as a teenager, drawing comics for Omladinske (later renamed NON), a youth newsmagazine in Belgrade. He later became a rock critic and correspondent at large while studying physics at the University of Belgrade. Over the years, he worked for NBC News, Vreme newsmagazine, and the BBC World Service before joining Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) as an anchor and editor.

Stanojević moderated Serbia's presidential debates in 2008 and 2012 and was recognized as the Editor of the Year in 2009 by the Serbian Journalists' Association (UNS). Currently, he serves as the editor of RTS’s online portal and anchors the political TV debates Reč na reč and the debate show Takovska 10.
