Zoran Stevanović is hydrogeologist, retired Professor of the University of Belgrade, Serbia. Consultant of the UN organizations FAO and UNESCO with vast experience in implementation of groundwater supply projects in the Balkans, Middle East and North and East Africa. He has published more than 350 papers, four text-books, authored and edited 20 monographs, including renewed publishers (Springer, Elsevier, CRC). Member of the examination panels and invited lecturer at the Universities in Romania, Iraq, Italy, Hungary, China, Iran, Germany, USA, Slovenia. He is Past President of the Serbian Geological Society, Honorary Member of the Hungarian Geological Society and member of the Bulgarian Geological Society. Permanent member of the Scientific Society of Serbia and the Academy of Engineering Sciences of Serbia. He is Past Chair of the IAH Karst Commission and recipient the Applied Hydrogeology Award of the International Association of Hydrogeologists.
