Oliver Streit is born in Karl Marx birth city in Trier/Germany and holds a master’s degree in development economics and international studies and bachelor’s in international management and is currently heading in Serbia the “From Education to Employment – E2E” project as a Head of Project.
The E2E is a twelve-year-long partnership project of two governments, the Swiss and Serbian, which was designed to support local communities to increase the employment of young people through improved career guidance and counselling (CGC) services and via organizing work-based learning programs (WBL) which were offered in close cooperation with the local economy.
The E2E improves the position of youth in the Serbian labour market through the modernization of youth employment policies and the development of young skilled labour demanded by the private sector through work-based learning opportunities. Enabled through the E2E, ten JOB INFO Centres have been successfully established in the South-Central Serbia to offer top-modern competence assessment and CGC tools via e.g. VR goggles for the younger generation in order to find a better match of youngsters interests with the private sector demand.
Furthermore, Oliver works as a Technical Director/Sector Lead for the “Education, Skills and Employment” portfolio within the Scandinavian routed NIRAS International Consulting Group for 9 years. Throughout different position abroad e.g. in Rwanda, Morocco, Germany and the Balkans, he has gained valuable work experience for several bilateral donors such SDC, GIZ, KfW and NORAD.
