TOMAŠEVIĆ Dejan
Member of the EXPO team and renowned Serbian basketball player
Dejan Tomašević, advisor to the CEO of EXPO 2027 Belgrade, is an economist by profession. He has been elected as a member of parliament for the second time, and behind him is a successful basketball career.

With the Yugoslav national team, he won three European Championships in basketball (1995, 1997, and 2001), two World Championships (1998 and 2002), and a silver medal at the 1996 Olympic Games. He represents one of our most successful basketball players in the national team after the breakup of the SFRY. In addition to playing for our domestic clubs, Tomašević also played professional basketball for Saski Baskonia, with whom he won the Spanish Cup and the Championship; for Valencia, with whom he won the ULEB Cup; and for Panathinaikos, with whom he won three double crowns and the EuroLeague. He played his final season with PAOK.

He served as Vice President and Secretary General of the Serbian Basketball Association for many years. During his mandate, he was named Secretary General of the Year by the Serbian Sports Association in 2017.

He is a father of four and holds a Master's degree from the FEFA Faculty of Economics.
