UDOVIČIĆ Vanja
Minister of Youth and Sports, Government of the Republic of Serbia
He was born in 1982 in Belgrade. He graduated from the Eleventh Belgrade High School – sports class, and then from the Faculty of Organisational Sciences – he is a graduated engineer of organisational sciences.
 
He was the captain of the water polo team of Serbia from 2009 to September 2013, when he took the position of Minister of Youth and Sport. He was voted many times as one of the best water polo players in the world, and he played 284 games and scored 330 goals for the national team.
 
He won the following with the national team: at the World Championships, two gold (2005 and 2009), one silver (2011) and one bronze medal (2003); at the European Championships, three gold (2003, 2006 and 2012), one silver (2008) and one bronze medal (2010); one gold medal (2010) and one bronze medal (2002) on world cups; in the World League, seven gold (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2013), one silver (2004) and one bronze medal (2009); at the Mediterranean Games, one gold medal (2009). He won one silver (2004) and two bronze medals (2008 and 2012) with the national team at the Olympic Games. He played in the clubs Partizan, Jadran, Posilipo, Pro Reko, Mladost, Radnicki.
 
He is President of the Young Talent Fund and of the Youth Council, a member of the Council for Public Administration Reform, Population Policy Council, Council for Innovation Entrepreneurship and Information Technologies of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and the Ministerial Team for analysis of the existing legal solutions concerning the issues and interventions in cases of peer violence.
 
He was the vice president of the Organising Committee of the European Water Polo Championship in 2016, Vice President of the Organising Committee of the European Athletics Championship 2017, member of the Organising Committee of the permanent event in the field of sports of importance to the City of Belgrade – Belgrade Marathon, the President of the Organising Committee of the 55th International Bicycle Race through Serbia, Vice President of the Organising Committee of the European Karate Championship in 2018, Vice President of the Organising Committee of the European University Games 2020, Vice President of the Organising Committee of the Final Four Basketball Tournament Final in the Euroleague basketball tournament in 2018, the President of the Organising Committee of the European Championship in kayaking and canoeing in calm waters of 2018.
 
He speaks English and Italian, and his hobbies are navigation, reading and swimming.
