Katarina is the Chief of Staff and Director of Corporate Communications at HTEC Group, one of the largest and fastest growing technology companies in Southeast Europe.

Besides overseeing internal and external communications, Katarina lead’s HTEC’s collaboration with universities and academic institutions, as well as post-merger integration activities and coordinates strategic cross-functional initiatives in the company.

Katarina joined HTEC with 13 years of experience in science, technology and innovation policy and managing development projects within international organizations. She started her career in government, as the science advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister, working on research sector reforms, developing research infrastructure, securing international financing and establishing the first financing instruments for innovative start-ups and business-academia collaboration through the Innovation Fund.

She also worked for the OECD in Paris, in the Global Relations Secretariat, as a policy analyst and project manager and was a science and innovation consultant for the World Bank for almost five years, working on research reform projects in the Balkans and Sri Lanka.

Katarina is passionate about bringing out the incredible potential of Serbia and its people, which is why she returned to the country after completing her BA in Physics at Princeton University.
