Marijana Vasilescu is the Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank Serbia since December 2016. Since joining this position, Ms. Vasilescu has set ambitious goals in further digitization of the bank, increase of the base of clients and improvement of efficiency.

Previously, Marijana was a member of the Executive Board of Sberbank Serbia, in charge of segments of individuals and micro clients, network, partnerships and digital channels, as well as marketing and communications.

Ms. Vasilescu has a rich experience in the international banking sector, which she gained by working for the Royal Bank of Scotland in Romania as the Director of the Retail and Affluent Banking Sector. She was also the Director of the Retail Banking Sector in RBS (previously ABN AMRO Bank) in Moscow, and she also worked in the Home Credit Bank in Kazakhstan as a member of the Executive Board. Prior to her career in the banking sector, Marijana was on managerial functions in various international FMCG companies within Central and Eastern Europe.

Marijana Vasilescu graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Bucharest, where she also received the title of Master in Marketing.
