VIČEK Anamarija
State Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Government of the Republic of Serbia
Anamarija Viček is State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia since September 2016. At this position she is in charge of preschool, inclusive and minority education and also covers matters of human and minority rights and gender issues in education.  She sits as a member of the Government's Committee for Children's Rights and as the deputy of the minister in the Committee for National Minorities. Her special attention is aimed at equality within the education system, especialy when it comes to socially disadvantaged children and women and girls in particular segments of education. From 2014-2016 she was a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia where she was the spokesperson for issues in education and social policies in front of the party she was representing, and also a member of the Boards of the Parliament on education and social matters,  and the Women's Parliamentary Network. From 2010-2014 Ms Viček was the Head of the Department for Development of the Pedagogical Institute of Vojvodina where she has been working on and coordinating activities regarding minority education in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, and has vast experience in teachers' professional development and trainings since 2007 after 12 years of working experience with children. Ms Viček has a master’s degree in Pedagogy – Special Education – Speech and Language Therapy with a special interest to human and minority rights and gender equality within the education system. Besides Hungarian, which is her native language, she speaks Serbian, English and German.
