VRANEŠ Ljubica
opera diva, prima donna of the National Theatre in Belgrade
Ljubiсa Vraneš, mezzo-soprano and principal singer of the Belgrade Opera, graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of Prof. Radmila Bakočević, where she also earned her master's degree.

The most significant role in her career is Carmen, which she has performed with great success in numerous productions both in Serbia and abroad, including a rock version of Bizet’s opera Carmen in Craiova.

She is the recipient of the First Prize for Best Mezzo-Soprano at the Nikola Cvejić competition. Additionally, she has been awarded the Captain Miša Anastasijević Award and the Award of the Cultural and Educational Community of Serbia. Recently, she was honored with the Sretenje Order, receiving a gold medal for outstanding achievements and contributions to opera. She was a member of the Opera Studio of the National Theatre, led by Prof. Nikola Kitanovski, and later the Borislav Popović Opera Studio, under the guidance of Prof. Radmila Bakočević and Maestro Dejan Savić.

She made her debut as Fenena in Verdi’s Nabucco at the Timișoara Opera in Romania, which opened doors for her performances in many other Romanian opera houses. She has successfully performed in operas such as Otello, Don Carlo, Rigoletto, Nabucco, Cavalleria Rusticana, and Samson and Delilah.

Since 2024, Ljubiсa Vraneš has also been a Member of the National Assembly, proudly and successfully promoting Serbian culture both domestically and internationally.
